| Result | Remarks |
| Detected | Indicates the presence of circulating Wuchereria bancrofti antigen. |
| Not Detected | Indicates absence of circulating Wuchereria bancrofti antigen |
    Note:

    - Positive results are seen in parasitic disease of the human lymph system caused by Wuchereria bancrofti (W. bancrofti) leading to conditions like lymphedema, hydrocele and disfiguring disease of elephantiasis.

    - Results should be correlated with clinical conditions and tests like thick smear microscopy and membrane filtration test.

    - False positive results may be due to cross-reactivity with Loa loa spp or other nematode infection.

    - False negative reactions may be due to the processing of samples collected early in the course of disease or low threshold of antigen. The test should be repeated on a new specimen obtained after two weeks.

    Uses

    - To diagnose lymphatic and non-lymphatic filariasis.

    - For mapping the endemicity of lymphatic filariasis.

    - For monitoring and transmission assessment surveys (TAS) of Wuchereria bancrofti.
